Pickup and drop-off

Pickup is normally between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. Accessible accommodation is served directly. When a riad or other accommodation cannot be reached by vehicle, the nearest practical meeting point is assigned after booking.

The exact pickup time and meeting point are communicated one day before departure after the departure-day schedule is finalized.

Arrival in Fes is expected in the late afternoon to early evening. Drop-off is at accessible accommodation or the nearest practical accessible point. Timing varies with traffic, weather, stops and group logistics.

Day-by-day itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Marrakech across the Atlas to Rose Valley

    • Morning departure from Marrakech through the High Atlas and Tizi n'Tichka Pass with scenic stops.
    • Visit Ait Ben Haddou, then continue after lunch along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.
    • Dinner and overnight in a comfortable hotel in the Rose Valley area.
  2. Day 2

    Todra Gorge and the Sahara

    • Visit Todra Gorge and join a local guided oasis walk in the Tinghir area.
    • Continue through palm valleys and villages to Merzouga.
    • Sunset camel ride, sandboarding, dinner and overnight at the selected Standard or Luxury Sahara camp.
  3. Day 3

    Merzouga to Fes

    • Sunrise and breakfast before leaving the Sahara.
    • Travel through the Ziz Valley and Middle Atlas, with a stop in the cedar-forest area near Azrou.
    • Arrival in Fes in the late afternoon to early evening.

Standard — €150 per person

€50 deposit at booking. Standard Sahara camp at or near the edge of the dunes with shared toilets and showers.

Luxury — €200 per person

€75 deposit at booking. Luxury Sahara camp deeper within the dunes with a private en-suite bathroom, shower and air conditioning.

Accommodation

One night is in a comfortable hotel with a private bathroom and shower. The second night is in the Sahara camp selected at booking. Named properties are not guaranteed and equivalent substitutions may be used when operationally necessary.

Vegetarian and vegan meals can be arranged. Declare allergies and dietary requirements during booking and mention them again to the driver on day one.

Transport, group format and luggage

Shared departures normally use 8-seat or 17–18-seat vehicles. Additional vehicles may operate when demand requires. Vehicles are air-conditioned.

This is a shared/group tour. Unrelated travelers may join the same departure and vehicle. One traveler can book; no minimum group size is required for an individual booking.

One carry-on-sized bag plus one small backpack or personal item is recommended. Travelers bringing more luggage should contact the operator before departure so available vehicle space can be checked.

Solo travelers may receive a private room or tent when availability allows. When capacity requires sharing, they are paired with another traveler of the same gender.

Important before booking

  • Departures operate daily except December 25 through January 4. Regular departures resume January 5.
  • Pickup is normally between 7:00 and 7:30 AM. The exact time is communicated one day before departure after the pickup schedule is finalized.
  • Accessible accommodation is served directly. For riads or other accommodation that vehicles cannot reach, the nearest practical meeting point is assigned after booking.
  • One traveler can book a shared departure; no minimum group size is required for an individual booking.
  • Driver service is available in English, French or Spanish.
  • Travelers who do not want to ride a camel may use a 4x4 transfer to the desert camp.
  • Vegetarian and vegan meals can be arranged. Allergies and dietary requirements should be declared during booking and mentioned again to the driver on day one. Travelers with serious allergy or cross-contamination concerns should contact the operator before booking.
  • There is no child discount. Each traveler occupies a seat and is charged the applicable per-person price.
  • An optional local guide at Ait Ben Haddou may be hired on site. The usual traveler contribution is approximately 20–30 MAD per person, depending on group size.
  • Optional quad biking may be available in Merzouga and is paid separately.
  • The route includes long driving sections and uneven terrain. Travelers with significant mobility requirements should contact the operator before booking.
