Exploring Morocco in 7 Days: A Guide to Maximizing Your Trip to the North African Kingdom

I won’t lie to you, 7 days in Morocco is not enough to explore the whole country. But it’s pretty enough to have an amazing time and explore one side of this amazing tourist destination.

So in this article, I will try to give you 4 different ways to make the most out of Morocco in 7 days.

Morocco In 7 Days: Imperial Cities

Option 1: Morocco in 7 days (Imperial Cities)

This week will start by picking you up from Casablanca airport straight to your hotel. We might visit the Hassan II mosque and the Ain Diab Corniche if time allows. If not, that’s how we’ll start the second day before we head to Rabat for a brief city tour. After lunch, we’ll drive to the blue city of Chefchaouen to spend the night.

In the morning we’ll have time to roam around the town and explore it all before we drive to Fez passing by so many amazing landscapes and scattered villages of the foothills of the Rif mountain range. Depending on what time we left the blue city we could also stop at the Roman archeological site of Volubilis before we reach Fez to spend the night.

On the 4th day, we’ll get to explore this astonishing medieval-times Medina and maybe go on a shopping spree if you’re into authentic handmade products. And also we’ll get to taste some really good local dishes as this Medina is the most famous for true Moroccan dishes and still keeps the secret recipes to tasty chicken pastilla and every kind of Moroccan pastries.

Day 5 will be a looooong drive on the highway so put together your favorite songs on a playlist and get ready for a karaoke party in the car with your driver.  It sounds like a boring day but trust me when I say it’s not 😂, especially with a fun driver like one of us. By the end of the day, we’ll reach Marrakech and make a quick city tour by car to explore the different aspects of the city before we head to the hotel for the night.

On day 6 of this Morocco in 7 days it’s a city tour in the morning to explore the hidden gems of the Medina and its palaces and in the afternoon you will have a few activities to choose from to spend the evening. Then back to our hotel for the night.
